About Us Who is JOCOD? JOCOD is a day protective workshop facility for adults with disabilities. JOCOD provides a holistic and integrated service to our 390 beneficiaries which responds appropriately to their needs, recognising their strengths and capacity for empowerment and capacity building. This model is developmental in nature. Mission Statement Empower and develop people with disabilities, providing them with: Adult Education and Training ( AET ) Basic Numeracy and Literacy Sports and Recreation Welfare and Related Services Skills Training and Learnerships Job Opportunities within JOCOD and job placement in the open labour market. Career Counselling To improve their quality of life, promote dignity and independence. Vision Statement To become an independent and economically viable organisation providing a holistic service to people with disabilities, totally self-sufficient and managed by people with disabilities for people with disabilities.
